The Academy for Direct Support Professionals is a collaboration of service providers, advocates, and four County Boards of DD in Southwest Ohio. Its mission is to enhance the skills and knowledge of those who support individuals with disabilities through quality training and educational opportunities.
Established in 1999 the Academy has provided training for Direct Support Professionals on a variety of topics. These trainings include:

In addition, sessions for supervisors are offered quarterly and cover subjects such as Interviewing Skills, Time Management, Mentoring, and Cultural Competency. All training is provided by experienced presenters who represent best practice in their areas of expertise.
